AFTER SUPPER GHOST STORIES: Jerome Klapka Jerome (1859-1927) was born in Walsall, England. He is famous for his elegant humour and lively comedy. His most famous books Three men in a boat and Three men on the Bummell, written in the last decade of the nineteenth century, combine lively observation of the social ironies of Victorian England with a comic and sentimental vein which make them irresistible to a wide audience.
